How to Make Kabuli Pulao Recipe in Pakistani Style

But today we made a lip-smacking pulao that is Kabuli pulao, which is made with mutton dry fruits, and carrots. Rice and dry fruits without a hassle. This Kabuli Pulao fried rice recipe or Afghani pulao recipe is indeed never tried before I am going to share it with you guys.

How to Make Kabuli Pulao Recipe in Pakistani Style


Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1 kg
  • Onion 2 small ones
  • Ginger paste 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Black Cumin seeds 2 tsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Salt as per taste
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Rice 2 cups
  • Raisins ½ cup
  • Almonds ½ cup
  • Cashews ½ cup
  • Carrots (chopped) ½ cup
  • Sugar ½ tsp

Method:

Heat oil in a pan, and add ginger, garlic, meat, and fry for a few minutes.

Add chopped onions and cook so that the color of the meat changes, then add salt, black cumin seeds, and hot spices to it.

After frying for a few minutes, add five cups of water and let it cook until the quantity is reduced by half or until the meat is cooked.

Add raisins, almonds, and cashews to the broth. When the meat is well cooked, add soaked rice and cook on high flame till the rice puffs up and a light layer of broth appears on top.

Now transfer the rice to an oven dish, seal well and bake in preheated oven (on medium heat) for 20 to 40 minutes.

Add three tablespoons of oil to a frying pan, add sugar, chopped carrot, and remaining dry fruits and fry for a minute and use as a garnish on top of the pulao.

Kabuli pulao is ready.
