Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Salt according to taste
  • Red Chili Flakes 1+ ½ tbsp
  • Garam masala ½ tsp
  • Yogurt 3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Ghee or oil as needed
  • Onion 1 cup
  • Butter 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Garlic and ginger paste 2 tbsp
  • Tomato 3-4
  • Cashews ½ cup
  • Cream 8 tbsp

Method:

To make butter chicken firstly, wash the chicken in a bowl, when the water comes out, add salt, red chili flakes, yogurt, and hot spices and mix it and keep it for some time.

Now, add some ghee or oil to a pan, then add the chicken, fry it and cover the lid.

Now add butter to another pan, add chopped onion, ginger, and garlic and fry it.

When it becomes a little golden, add finely chopped tomatoes and cook it. When these tomatoes melt, add crushed red chilies, crushed hot spices, and cashew nuts and cook for a while.

When the masala is cooked well, put it in a grinder and grind it.

Now add these ground spices to the roasted chicken and cover it and keep it on the steam for some time so that the chicken and spices get combined.

Now garnish it with cream and serve with hot naan.

Serve and enjoy traditional butter chicken.
