Dahi Baray Recipe

No street food is complete without Dahi Baray but if you're tired of the same old method, here is a recipe that will give you the much-needed change of taste.

Dahi Baray

Ingredients:

  • Boiled potato (Ubley aloo)2
  • Yogurt (Dahi) ½ kg
  • Bhalay 5-6
  • Tomato chopped (Tamatar) 1
  • Onion (Payaz)chopped as required
  • Chat masala 1tbsp

  • Phulki 1 cup soaked for 1 hour

  • Cucumber (Kheera) chopped as required
  • Green chili (Sabz Mirch)chopped 2
  • Green sauce as required
  • Salt (Namak) 1tsp
  • Red chili flakes (Lal Mirch) pinch or as required
  • Tamarind sauce (Imli) as required
  • Almond (Badam) 5-7

Method:

In a bowl, put yogurt, green sauce, boiled potato, bhalay, chopped onion, chat masala, green chili chopped, cucumber chopped, salt, and red chili flakes, and mix well.

Serve with tamarind sauce and garnish with almonds.

Enjoy spicy Dahi bhalay.

URDU/HINDI RECIPE

  • Aik baray bowl mai ½ kg dahi, sabaz chutney, 2 ublay huye aloo, 5-6 bhalay, kati hui payaz, 1 tbsp chat masala, 2 chopped sabaz mirch, katy huye kheeray, 1 tsp namak, aur lal mirch shamil ker kay achi tarha mix ker lain.
  • Ab isko imli ki chutney kay sath paish keraine.
  • Badaam kay sath sajawat keraine.
