Ingredients:

  • Grated Carrots (Gajar) ½ kg
  • Milk (Doodh) 2 cups
  • Sugar (Cheeni) ½ cup
  • Green cardamom (Sbaz illiachi) 2-3
  • Ghee 1/3 cup
  • Chopped almonds (Badaam) ¼ cup

Method:

In a wok, add milk, green cardamom, and grated carrots, mix well, and cook for 45-50 minutes on medium flame.

When milk dries, add sugar & cook till sugar water dries, and add chopped almonds.

Add the ghee to the carrot mixture and fry well for at least 20 minutes.

In the end, put gajar halwa in the serving dish and garnish with chopped almonds.

Serve and enjoy homemade gajar ka halwa.

URDU/HINDI RECIPE

  • Aik karahi mai 2 cups doodh, 2-3 sabaz illiachi, aur ½ kg kadukash ki hui gajar ko shamil kerine aur achi tarha mix ker kay 45-50 mins kay laiye drmayani aanch par paka lain.
  • Ab doodh khushak hojaye to us mai ½ cup cheeni shamil keraine aur jab cheeni ka panni khushak hojaye to us mai ¼ cup katy huye badaam shamil ker dain.
  • Ab is mai 1/3 cup ghee shamil keraine aur kam az kam 20 mins tak fry keraine.
  • Ab akhir mai halwa ko dish mai palat dain aur katy huye badaam kay sath sajawat keraine.
  • Mazedar gajar ka halwa tayar ha.
