Today when tomato prices are much higher than our thoughts, I still come up with an authentic Tomato rice recipe. Yes, Tomato rice, you never heard of this type of rice combination before. People usually make one type of pulao recipe: chicken or mutton. But today we made a lip-smacking pulao that is Tomato pulao, which is made with only two ingredients Rice and Tomatoes without a hassle. This Tomato fried rice recipe or Tomato pulao recipe is indeed never tried before I am going to share it with you guys. Here is the recipe you would have to follow.

Ingredients:

  • Tomatoes (tamatar) 3
  • Water (panni) 2 cups
  • Oil (tail) 2-3 tbsp
  • Bay leaf (tez pata) 1-2
  • Cloves (laung) 2-3
  • Black pepper (kali mirch) 3-4
  • Black cardamom (kali bari illiachi) 1-2
  • Cinnamon sticks (darcheeni) 2-3
  •  Cumin seeds (zeera) ½ tsp
  •  Onion sliced (payaz) 1/3 cup
  •  Ginger garlic paste (pisa hua adrak lehsun) 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies (sabz mirch)2-3
  •  Salt (namak)1 tsp
  •  Red chili powder (pisi lal mirch) ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder (haldi)¼ tsp
  • Water (panni)3 & ½ Cups
  • Rice (chawal) 2 cups (soaked for 20 minutes)
  • Fresh coriander (sabaz dhania) for garnish

Method:

In a wok, place tomatoes, add water & bring it to a boil, and blanch on medium flame.

Remove tomato skin, transfer into the same water, and mash them with a spoon, add bay leaf, cumin seeds, black pepper, cloves, black cardamom, and Cinnamon sticks, cook on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes and transfer into a bowl & set it aside.

Now in a wok, add oil & onion, mix well & fry until lightly golden.

Add blanched tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and green chili, mix well & cook for 3-5 minutes until oil separates.

Add water, mix well & bring it to a boil.

  • Aik karahi mai 3 tamatar aur panni shamil kerine aur drmayani aanch par ubaal lain.
  • Ab tamatar ka chilka utaar lain aur dobara usi panni mai daal dain aur chamach say mash ker lain aur sath hi tez pata, zeera, kali mirch, kali bari illiach, aur darcheeni shamil kerine aur drmayani aanch par 2-3 mins kay liye paka lain aur bowl mai palat dain.
  • Ab aik karahi mai tail aur payaz shamil kerine aur sunheri honay tak pakayn.
  • Ab is mai ublay huye tamatar, pisa hua adrak lehsun paste, namak, pisi lal mirch, haldi, aur sabaz mirch shamil kerine aur 3-5 mins kay liye paka lain ab tak tail na nikal aaye.
  • Ab is mai panni shamil kerine aur ubaal any ka intezar kerine.
  • Ab is mai 2 cups chawal shami kerine aura chi tarha mix ker kay 15-20 mins kay liye paka lain.
  • Jab chawal tayar hoyn to inhy dish mai paish kerine aur sabaz dhania kay sath sajawat kerine.
  • Mazedar tomato pulao tayar hai.
