Chicken Manchurian is a very popular Chinese dish. Crispy fried chicken pieces are tossed in a sweet and savory gravy and served alongside fried rice. Chicken Manchurian is widely famous in Indian and Pakistani restaurants.
Ingredients:
For Marination
- Boneless
chicken ½ kg
- Soya sauce 1
tsp
- Vinegar ½
tsp
- Black pepper
1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- All-purpose
flour 2 tbsp
For Frying
- Oil 1 cup
For Gravy
- Ginger/garlic
paste 1 tsp
- Chopped
capsicum ½ cup
- Chopped
onion ½ cup
- Salt 1 tsp
- Black pepper
1 tsp
- Soya sauce ½
tsp
- Chili sauce
1 tsp
- Tomato
ketchup ½ cup
- Red chili
flakes ½ tsp
- Water 1 cup
For Slurry
- Water 1/3
cup
- Corn flour 1
tbsp
Method:
In a bowl, add boneless chicken, salt, black pepper, soya sauce, vinegar, and all-purpose flour. Mix well. And leave it for 15 minutes.
In a wok, heat oil and fry well. Cook until golden brown color comes.
For making gravy, in a wok, heat oil then adds ginger/garlic paste and fry well.
After this add chopped capsicum, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, soya sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili flakes, and water mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes.
Cook until it reaches boiling point then add corn flour along with water as required till it turns to thicken.
Turn off the flame.
Serve and Enjoy Chicken Manchurian.
